ChatGPT (web & desktop)

ChatGPT connects to Land Insights through a custom connector, set up in Developer mode.

Requirements

• A paid ChatGPT plan — Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise. Custom connectors aren’t available on the free tier.
• On Business and Enterprise, an admin has to turn on Developer mode for the workspace before you’ll see it.

Developer mode is a beta feature, and a custom connector can take actions on your behalf — only add servers you trust.

Set it up (web)

1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. (On older versions this is just Connectors.)
2. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode.
3. Back on the Apps & Connectors screen, click Create.
4. Fill in the form:
   • Name: Land Insights
   • MCP server URL: https://mcp.landinsights.co
   • Authentication: OAuth
   • Check I trust this application.
5. Click Create. ChatGPT opens a Land Insights sign-in window — log in and approve access. There’s no API key to enter.

Using it in the desktop app

Connectors are tied to your account, not your device.

• macOS: you can’t add a connector from the Mac app. Set it up at chatgpt.com using the steps above, and it appears automatically in the desktop app under the same account.
• Windows: you can turn on Developer mode and add the connector directly in the app, exactly as above.

Once it’s connected, just ask ChatGPT to use Land Insights. See what you can do.
